Le Butcherettes have signed with the BMG-owned punk-metal label, Rise Records, and have released a new single, “spider/WAVES.”
The El Paso-based garage punk band that features the dynamic frontwoman Teri Gender Bender, also announced tour dates with Hot Snakes.

Producing is former Talking Heads player Jerry Harrison. Harrison has made a name for himself as one of the top indie producers, guiding bands including No Doubt, Violent Femmes, and KD Lang from behind the boards.

Le Butcherettes don’t mince words. The themes of family and emotional strife are woven into the song.
Teri Gender Bender performs at her most explosive with her raging falsettos and wild movements. She wears a Chichimeccan warrior outfit to honor her grandmother in the accompanying music video. The video is directed by the duo Noun.

Rise Records of Beaverton, Ore., is the home of At The Drive In, The Devil Wears Prada, The Flatliners, PVRIS, Galactic Empire and Gone Is Gone. The 26-year-old label was acquired by BMG in 2015 and founder Craig Ericson stepped down last December.
Le Butcherettes add a new bass player to the mix, Marfred Rodriguez-Lopez. He joins Teri, on vocals, guitar and keys, Alejandra Robles Luna on drums and Rikardo Rodriguez-Lopez on guitars/synth. Marfred and Rikardo are brothers of At The Drive In’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez.
