Icelandic rock band KALEO have released “Still No Good,” a reimagined version of their 2015 hit single “No Good,” which was featured on their debut album, “A/B.”
This time around, however, the band has opted to sink deeper into the lyrics’ dark yet anthemic spirit, stripping back the rocky, alt rock guitar riffs into a more soulful, acoustic blues track.
“It’s a grittier, swampier, bluesier version of the original that we’ve been playing around with for years,” said KALEO frontman JJ Julius Son. “I’m happy we finally had the chance to record it.”
“Still No Good” is one of eight special bonus tracks off the “A/B” (deluxe anniversary edition) double-LP, coming out June 12 via Rhino Records. Commemorating their breakout record, KALEO will be pressing the album, alongside never-before-heard recordings and live performances of original songs, into a limited edition vinyl box set.

The debut album spawned hits like “All The Pretty Girls,” “No Good,” and the global sensation “Way Down We Go,” which landed at number one on the charts, has nearly 4 billion streams and featured in over 3 million TikToks worldwide. The deluxe anniversary 2LP highlights the vinyl debut of the “Way Down We Go” stripped version, “Up In The Sky,” a studio track previously unreleased outside of Iceland, and the premiere of a new spin on an old classic, “Still No Good.”
To celebrate, the band will embark on an extensive North American Way Down We Go Tour this summer with very special guests Dawes, Darren Kiely, and singer-songwriter Elle King.

Their summer run begins June 27 at The Novo in Los Angeles and will make its way up the West Coast, through the Rocky Mountains then into the Midwest and Canada before finishing on the East Coast in August. Notable stops include Colorado’s famed Red Rocks, NYC’s Pier 17, and Nashville’s Pinnacle. See all dates below and more information here.
On June 20, KALEO will also be headlining the Bergmál Music Festival at Thingvellir National Park in Iceland, a weekend-long celebration of the summer solstice featuring some of the country’s biggest artists. “It is a dream come true for us,” says the band. “We would love for you to join us and our friends in our homeland.”
