Phil Spector the music producer who is serving time in California may be in particular trouble from Coronavirus, music industry sources said.
The 80-year-old Spector is serving a 19-year-to-life sentence for the murder of Lana Clarkson. He was sentenced in 2009.
Spector’s health is so frail in fact, that he has been in custody at the California Health Care Facility in Stockton since 2013. His health issue is undisclosed.
As across the rest of the world, COVID-19 is sweeping through the prisons and California systems, and hospitals are expected to be overrun with cases.
Spector is a music genius who created the “Wall of Sound” production technique that revolutionized Rock N Roll.
While during most of his career Spector was the toast of the town, over the years he became more reclusive. In 2003 actress Lana Clarkson lost her life at Spector’s house in Alhambra, California.
Institutions of mass incarceration, hospitals and other facilities are in jeopardy during this time of Coronavirus spread.
