Multi-platinum and Grammy Award-nominated artist Tove Lo has released her latest track, “Really don’t like u” featuring Kylie Minogue, a fun, techno-driven dance track that doubles as advice for the newly single.
Lo also announced tour dates, including a stop at The Masonic in San Francisco, and the Hollywood Palladium, both at the end of February.
The Swedish sensation’s collaborative work with the UK pop star/socialite Minogue is out on all digital platforms and comes ahead of Lo’s fourth studio full-length, Sunshine Kitty, out September 20 on Island Records. Pre-order Sunshine Kitty.
The track is an upbeat techno-dance tune that vows to keep the party going no matter how much your heart is breaking seeing the ex with someone else. When does your ego decide it doesn’t want to compete over somebody you don’t even care about anymore? It’s the same old story: You’re over them but when you see them with someone else, do you leave? Or do you defy and … dance?

“Even though it’s now out, I still can’t believe Kylie is on ‘Really don’t like u’!” Lo said. “Kylie and I met last year at an AMFAR event in Hong Kong.
“When she said she wanted to work together I made serious mental note,” Lo said “Once I felt I had the perfect song to share with her I just hoped she would love it and wanted her to do her magical thing to it. She did, and I couldn’t be more thrilled and honored to have someone I love and respect so much on this track and part of Sunshine Kitty.”
The popular socialite Minogue said: “It seemingly came out of nowhere, but when we met last year we said it would be great to work together and “Really don’t like u,” came at the perfect moment. She has that amazing Swedish pop sensibility but her very own style and has carved out her own path within the music industry.”

Sunshine Kitty was recorded between Los Angeles and Sweden, and represents a new chapter for Lo, marked by a reclamation of confidence, hard-earned wisdom, more time, and a budding romance.
“This cartoon cat (featured on the artwork) is an extension of me and part of the new music,” Lo said. “She’s super cute, but she does stupid shit like getting in fights and getting fucked up. It’s how I feel the album sounds.” ‘
