David Bowie, The National and U2 will release collectors edition recordings for this year’s Record Store Day on April 21.
Collectors will be able to buy special editions, re-releases and vinyl reissues from musicians ranging from the late Bowie to The National and Courtney Barnett at their local record store, according to the annual Record Store Day List released today.
Bowie’s posthumus Record Store Day contributions are expected to be Welcome To The Blackout (Live London ’78) a 3-LP unreleased live set, “Let’s Dance” a full-length, 12-inch single featuring the full-length version of the demo and a live version, and Bowie Now, a white vinyl LP issue of US promo-only compilation with new interior artwork.

Record Store Day 2018: The National Drops ‘Boxer’ Live
U2 will release a 12-inch picture disc featuring two versions of “Lights of Home” off Songs of Experience, with St. Peter’s String version on side A and on B-side a version of “Free Yourself/Beck Remix.”
The National, Mac DeMarco, Rage Against The Machine and Courtney Barnett will all drop new records.
The National will release a live album, Boxer (Live In Brussels); Mac DeMarco will release demos from This Old Dog, his most recent album. He’s also teaming with Shamir for a 7-inch that features covers from Beat Happenings, “Indian Summer” and “Run Down The Stairs.”
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees Rage Against The Machine will release a live album, Live At The Democratic National Convention 2000,” a recording from 18 years ago.
Courtney Barnett releases a 12-inch record of two new songs, “City Looks Pretty and “Sunday Roast” from the album Tell Me How You Really Feel, which comes out next month.
The Record Store Day 2018 Ambassadors Run The Jewels will release Stay Gold Collectors Edition, a metal box container to hold RTJ vinyl, with a Marvel Comics-branded 12-inch vinyl.
