Johnny Depp helped kick off the tour of the revamped Stone Temple Pilots at the band’s show Friday night at the Canyon in Santa Clarita.
Depp joined new frontman Jeff Gutt and the band on a wild version of Kick Out The Jams, and was also accompanied by MC5 founder himself, Wayne Kramer. Gutt has been with the band since last November. He’s a former X-Factor contestant.

STP goes on to the Rose in Pasadena March 8, House of Blues Las Vegas March 9 and The Marquee in Phoenix March 10.
