Friday Update: Florence + The Machine and Janet Jackson Confirmed Headliners for FYF – SEE STORY
My Bloody Valentine could be headlining the 2018 FYF Fest, which will take place July 21-22 at Exposition Park.
Passes go on sale Friday, April 6 at noon.
As of Thursday, it was clear that My Bloody Valentine, if not headlining, would be a prominent performer. A mysterious video hit social media showing a girl popping a cassette marked “2018 mix” into her car tape deck. The tape played “Only Shallow” by MBV at a good volume:
FYF Fest 2017
Last year’s fest at Exposition Park was an eclectic blend of top talent including Nine Inch Nails, Solange and Iggy Pop.
At that time, there were rumors that the fest would go back to its original location, the historical state park next to Chinatown. But over the years the event has grown so that only a large venue would work.

Earlier this year, the fest parted ways with founder Sean Carlson, who was accused of sexual misconduct.
