The 1975 Performs ‘It’s Not Living’ at Reading + Leeds – Interview and Video

By JOHN DALY

The 1975 performed “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You)” at Reading + Leeds 2019 a few days ago and the mostly-female crowd sang along to all the words.

Joined by the full band and two cream-color-clad dancers, who jumped throughout the tune, lead singer Matt Healy seemed amused that the crowd knew every word. He laughed when the crowd sang the line, “selling petrol.”

The song, off the band’s 2018 LP A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, is an upbeat pop tune that gets the crowd moving. “You’re all beautiful babies,” Healy told the crowd a few times during the performance. A Brief Inquiry was produced by Healy and George Daniel.
