Sting has released a new live album, “STING 3.0 Live,” featuring fan favorites and a rarity or two, recorded on his “STING 3.0” World Tour. The new release delivers a compelling and interactive performance that engages his audience and lovers of live music alike.
Recorded on the acclaimed “STING 3.0” World Tour with longtime guitarist Dominic Miller and dynamic drummer Chris Maas, “STING 3.0 Live” is a collection of Sting’s greatest hits, and also includes the lovely acoustic “Be Still My Beating Heart,” which has never before been released as a live version.
The recording captures Sting in his performance style of today. His voice is that of a well-worn musician who’s mastered his trade. He’s mature, natural and uninhibited on “STING 3.0 Live.”
In addition to the many hit songs he’s written that resonate with millions of fans, Sting can be admired for his apparent disregard for audio enhancements. To his credit, and much like the beloved vintage character Popeye, on “STING 3.0 Live,” the 73-year-old Sting clearly embodies the philosophy of “I am who I am.” The new record is pure ear candy.
The tracklist will engage any fan of Sting and The Police, with songs including “Message In a Bottle,” “Roxanne,” “Englishman in New York,” “Every Breath You Take,” and many more.
Produced by Martin Kierszenbaum and recorded by Howard Page with additional engineering by Tony Lake, this new live collection spans Sting’s career, offering fans the opportunity to experience these timeless classics in a fresh, dynamic way. “STING 3.0 Live” was mixed by Robert “Hitmixer” Orton and mastered by Gene Grimaldi at Oasis Mastering.
