When Iron Maiden takes the stage everyone else better take notes: This is one stage performance that ranks among the best, with effects and props, and of course unforgettable music. We were fortunate enough to catch one of the last Iron Maiden shows on the Legacy of the Beast tour, at the Banc of California Stadium.

Bruce Dickinson, the legendary do-it-all frontman, part pilot, part adventurer and a rocker who goes all out for the fans, was at the top of his game and the legendary band impressed the LA crowd. From here, the Iron Maiden Tour heads to Phoenix, Albuquerque, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Mexico City.

Openers Fozzy and Raven Age brought it on all cylinders, with Fozzy’s Chris Jericho giving a hard-charging performance, and Raven Age rippin’ it up. Jericho is known for his wrestling moves and Fozzy, FKA Fozzy Osbourne, has some albums that tear down the house.

Raven Age features George Harris, the son of Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris. In addition to Harris, Raven Age is comprised of Matt Cox on bass and backing vocals, Jai Patel on drums, Tony Maue on guitar and Matt James on lead vocals.

But the audience was waiting for that moment when Iron Maiden’s favorite taped intro “Doctor Doctor” by UFO would start up.

Dickinson is one of the legendary frontmen of all time. He’s energetic and sounds great with a strong voice and keeps the crowd going with non-stop action.

The sold-out show featured the classics from Iron Maiden, including “The Trooper,” show opener “Where Eagles Dare” and an encore of  “The Evil That Men Do,” “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” “Run For The Hills” and finally the outro “Always Look On the Bright Side of Life” from Monty Python.
