If you thought the days of seeing one of your favorite classic rock bands passed long ago, think again. Many of the best classic rock bands of all time are still touring worldwide, playing all of their hits, and putting on critically successful shows.
However, before you get ready to rock on with the following bands this year, it should be noted that some of the following dates, cities, and venues are subject to change, so be sure to check out the bands’ websites for updates. Without further ado, here are four classic rock bands on tour in 2019:
Fleetwood Mac
Fleetwood Mac has seen a lot of member changes since they first formed in London in 1967. Currently, their 2019 touring members include founding members Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, longtime members Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks, and recent additions Mike Campbell and Neil Finn.
Fleetwood Mac’s 2019 tour currently includes 35 performances in North America and Europe. Their first show will be on Jan. 31 at Pepsi Center in Denver and their last show will be on June 18 at Wembley Stadium in London. Some of the other stops on their tour will include Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Toronto, Berlin, and Dublin. The Rolling Stones
The Stones have been performing for more than 55 years, and are still going strong. Other than the fact that they’ve aged, they’re still largely the same as they’ve been for decades: Mick Jagger still shakes his hips in wild outfits while Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood jam and Charlie Watts smirks behind his drums.
The Rolling Stones’ No Filter U.S. tour begins on April 20 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami and ends on June 25 at Soldier Field in Chicago. Other stops on their 2019 tour will include: Jacksonville, Fla.; Houston; Glendale, Ariz.; Pasadena, Calif.; Santa Clara, Calif.; Seattle; Denver; Washington; Philadelphia; Foxborough, Maine; and E. The Eagles
Formed in Los Angeles, the Eagles have been living life in the fast lane since 1971, and show no signs of slowing down now. Many doubted that the band would continue after the death of their frontman, Glenn Frey, in 2016. But they found a near-perfect replacement in the form of Frey’s son, Deacon Frey. In addition to Deacon Frey, the band’s current tour members include original members Joe Walsh and Don Henley, long-time member Timothy B. Schmit (who joined in 1977), and Vince Gill, a Grammy-winning musician.
The Eagles’ 2018 tour was initially expected to run from March to July, but they added more dates in response to the tour’s success. This year, they kick off their 2019 world tour in Auckland, New Zealand in February. Other tour locations include the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, and Australia. In addition to playing many of their hits on the tour, they’ll also have full horn section and a full string section. Tickets can still be purchased from their website.
Aerosmith
Like the other bands on this list, Aerosmith is one of the best-selling rock bands of all time. They’ve been touring almost nonstop since they formed in Boston in 1970. Although several of the members have changed over the years, Aerosmith still features many of its founding members, including frontman Steven Tyler.
Aerosmith’s 2019 tour will feature 19 performances. Their first show will be on Feb. 1 at the Super Bowl Music Fest at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, where they’ll be performing with Post Malone. Following that performance, they’ll be playing at Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas from April 6 until July 9.
