BOISE, Idaho – To celebrate their album, “The Way,” Dorothy hit the road with Eddie and the Getaway for The Redemption Tour. One of the stops that they made was at Treefort Music Hall in Boise, Idaho.
Opening the night was country rock band Eddie and the Getaway. Their set included “Alexis Texas”, “SuperNOVOCAINE”, a medley of covers which included GooGoo Dolls’ “Iris,” and Buckcherry’s “Crazy Bitch,” and they ended with “Overdose.”

Headlining the night was this Los Angeles-based band that everyone should know, Dorothy, consisting of Dorothy Martin (vocals), Sam Bam Koltun (guitar), Eliot Lorango (Bass), and Jake Hayden (drums). Dorothy opened with “Down to the Bottom,” from “ROCKISDEAD,” “THE DEVIL I KNOW” from “The Way,” and “Ain’t Our Time To Die” from “28 Days In The Valley.”
There are a rare few who are as charismatic and mesmerizing onstage as Dorothy Martin. When combined with her unmistakable voice, Martin is truly a legend in the making. The set continued with “What’s Coming to Me,” and “BONES” and “MUD,” from their new album, “The Way.”

As exciting as their new music was to experience live, it was wonderful for Dorothy to take us back with their older work with “After Midnight,” “Raise Hell,” “Medicine Man,” “Top of the World,” “Rest in Peace” from “Gifts from the Holy Ghost,” and the song that made me fall in love with Dorothy, “Gun in my Hand” from “ROCKISDEAD.”
While I was sad that the show had to come to an end, “TOMBSTONE TOWN” (featuring Slash on the album, “The Way”) was the best way to end it.
