Dolly Parton and Jimmy Fallon Share a Sniff, Kacey Musgraves Gets ‘Glittery’ on ‘Tonight’

Kacey Musgraves debuted her new holiday song, “Glittery” and Dolly Parton talked about her new perfume line on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday night.

But the two superstar women of country music are on opposite sides of the media world as Musgraves was pitching for Amazon and Parton was promoting Netflix.

Musgraves’ newest Christmas song — she released a Christmas album three years ago — is a lovely tune that makes an emotional statement of love at the holidays.

Dolly Parton on Netflix, Stars on NBC Opry Special

Dolly, meanwhile appeared in support of her new Netflix series “Heartstrings,” and her 50th Anniversary Show at the Opry which airs on NBC on November 26.

The Queen of Country is also coming out with her own line of perfumes and wigs, she said.

“People kind of follow me down the street wanting to know what I’m wearing because they love the smell,” Dolly said.

“What does Dolly Parton smell like?” Fallon asked.

“Why don’t you come over here and see?” she said, and Fallon did.

“How do you like it?” she asked him. 

“Tell me more,” a smitten Fallon said.

“I got a buzz off of that,” Dolly said to the audience. “Let me tell you girls you never get too old to dream or fantasize.”

A special bonus: Dolly did a short duet with Fallon of “9 to 5” using an unusual instrument — her nails.
