Slash said Keith Richards, Eric Clapton and Mick Taylor were among his musical influences, during an interview with Steve Jones on the KLOS show Jonesy’s Jukebox.
Slash also told Jonesy he admired Eddie Van Halen, who is also a fan of Clapton.
Slash was on the KLOS show to pitch the single “Mind Your Manners,” ahead of his Slash Feat. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators tour, for the new album Living The Dream. The album is out Sept. 21.
Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators will be his focus point after the Guns N Roses tour wraps, he said.

Guns N Roses Wrapping ‘Lifetime’ Tour
Guns N Roses guys will likely wrap up the Not In This Lifetime tour after the overseas part of the tour, which includes Indonesia and Dubai.
Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators play Sept. 13 at the Whisky and Sept 15 at The Van Buren in Phoenix, before the tour wraps Oct. 16 at the Hollywood Palladium.
And, by the way, Slash said his grandmother is the only person who calls him Saul. He says he got his famous nickname because he was always on the go “like a flash.” He said he was always in good company with the one-name thing: In Guns N Roses the only guy with a “normal” name was Steven (Adler).
