By DONNA BALANCIA – The Maui Sugar Mill was rockin with the likes of Double E, Johnny Travis Jr., Lights Out Levine and headliner Pat Todd and the Rank Outsiders.
Double E and The Great Western Cattle Co. has a cool country sound, not overdoing it, and was a good warmup for the night.
Johnny Travis Jr. is a heartbreaker in his own mind, handing out signed 8 x 10s of himself to the girls. Special guest Adam Bones of The Two Tens joined the band onstage for a song.
Lights Out Levine debuted his solo act, he’s a member of Prima Donna, the well-known group that has a pop appeal. Lights Out didn’t disappoint and enjoys himself when performing. We will be hearing more from this talent. Prima Donna has a gig at the Echoplex on Jan. 22.
The headliner, Pat Todd and The Rankoutsiders are a great group of rockers, they’ve been around the block and their grizzled presence and talent shows it.
Pat Todd has a new record out that is pretty amazing. One thing for sure Pat and his pals get you up and going. The band is comprised of Pat, Rick Rock, Nick Alexander, Kevin Keller and Bob “El Bingo” Deagle. Pat Todd and The Rankoutsiders will be playing Loaded on Jan. 16, 2016.
Asia Muka was the talented promoter/booker on this show and we look forward to more from her.
