Philadelphia-based rock & roll artist Low Cut Connie released his emotive new single “Settle Down.”

The song was written from the perspective of a parent who, while trying to raise children in modern America, witnesses the erosion of human dignity. The song is a rallying cry to fight back on behalf of those who are most vulnerable.

“Settle Down” arrives with an official video featuring a photo essay by Alex Wroblewski, edited by Bob Sweeney. His pictures depict many incidents of militarized policing, beginning with photos from Ferguson, MO, in 2014 through the ICE raids and National Guard offensives in Chicago, Memphis, and Washington, D.C. this year.

Alongside the new single, Low Cut Connie has announced his “Livin in the USA” solo tour, which kicks off  on March 3 in Chicago and is scheduled to make stops including St. Paul, Nashville and New York City.
