GWAR, the other-worldly shock rocker troupe of aliens and other creatures, have announced The Return of Gor Gor Tour, a major North American trek to support their new multimedia release. GWAR is also laying to waste a run of cities to display their dominating presence on the rock scene for 40 outrageous years.
The campaign kicks off October 18th in Salt Lake City with support from Helmet, The Dwarves, and Blood Vulture. In addition to their 40th anniversary, the tour celebrates the return of GWAR’s long-lost Dinosaur, Gor Gor and supports “your Lords and Masters’” forthcoming multimedia release, ‘The Return of Gor Gor,’ out July 25th via Pit Records/Z2 Comics.
“Gor Gor demands sacrifice!,” exclaimed Blothar commenting on The Return of Gor Gor Tour. “The Tyrant Teen is all grown up and he wants love! Don’t look him in the eye!! The beast demands a bride! Come in your bridal finery. An ocean of chiffon to satisfy the bloodlust of the great lizard!”
In any event, GWAR never fails to put on a messy but amazing show as these hideous mutants are excellent performers and musicians. GWAR makes attending a concert not only fun, but the monstrous barbarians create a raucous once-in-a-lifetime (or more if you survive) stage show experience.
