KISS paid tribute to Kobe Bryant, dedicating the show at the Los Angeles Staples Center to the Lakers superstar who died in January.

“None of us would be here if this place wasn’t really like a memorial to somebody who’s so much more than a basketball player,” said Paul Stanley. “Tonight, not only we dedicate this show to Kobe and his daughter Gigi, but all the people who perished on that helicopter. So let’s reach back to something from Destroyer.”

Stanley wore Kobe’s number 24 Lakers jersey, but kept it all in Rock N Roll character with the trademark black leather pants and high platform shoes.

And by all accounts, KISS did a little destroying themselves, bringing down “The house that Kobe built,” with a show for the ages.

KISS is on its End of the World Tour, and moves on to Brazil, Europe and South Africa before returning to the U.S. East Coast on Aug. 28.
