The Casbah was packed on Friday night anticipating the return of a San Diego favorite: Drug Hunt. Once called “Bad Vibes”, the guys played goodies from their 2017 debut No One’s Safe in addition to new jams from the debut EP.
Drug Hunt is comprised of Rory Morison (guitar), Jason Meyers (guitar, vocals), Nick Sinutko (keys, vocals), Jordan Searls (bass), and Ryan Schilawski (drums).The band had the crowd riled from song one with a chemistry on stage that could be felt throughout the room.
“The hunt continues,” Meyers joked as he introduced the band to an energetic, supportive crowd. The band recently changed their name due to a possible legal issue with late rapper XXXTentacion’s estate. When they signed with Blind Owl in January, they learned they would face issues releasing music and merchandise.
With a new name and new album to show, the band is ready to take over the scene. July 5th marked their self-titled album debut under Blind Owl Records.
