Alejandro Aranda crushed the competition again on American Idol Monday night, performing Post Malone’s “I Fall Apart” for his Top 20 solo.
Aranda’s performance was held at historic Los Angeles concert venue The Wiltern. Aranda is from the Los Angeles County city of Pomona, Calif.
“I am not worthy to critique you,” Luke Bryan told Aranda, AKA Scary Pool Party, after the performance. “I don’t know, if this show, in the history of the whole show, has ever had somebody like you, in my opinion.”
Lionel Richie said he was “overwhelmed.”
Katy Perry, perhaps Aranda’s biggest advocate said: “That arrangement was so next level. I want my boyfriend here, I want a glass of wine in my hands and I want to watch the show, Alejandro.”
On his Instagram account, @scarypoolparty Aranda said “I didn’t know what to play on guitar so I just made up a guitar solo <3
