Katey Sagal and her band, The Reluctant Apostles, will play The Mint on May 1 and May 2.
A few tickets are available for Thursday May 2
It will be the debut appearance of The Reluctant Apostles at The Mint, the historic music venue on LA’s west side. The show is presented by California Rocker.
The Reluctant Apostles are also known as the core musicians behind “The Forest Rangers,” the house band for the hit TV show “The Sons of Anarchy.”
Katey Sagal and Bob Thiele Jr. lead The Reluctant Apostles, made up of world-class musicians Davey Faragher (Elvis Costello, Richard Thompson) on bass and vocals, Phil Shenale (Tori Amos, Jane’s Addiction) on keys, Billy Harvey (Patty Griffin) on guitar and vocals, Michael Urbano (Cracker, Sheryl Crow) on drums, Bob Thiele, Jr. on vocals and guitar (Bonnie Raitt, Mavis & Pop Staples) and, Katey Sagal as lead singer, and on guitar and percussion.
The band members trace their roots back to the hit series “Sons of Anarchy,” where, as The Forest Rangers, they played on the show’s seven seasons. The musicians began recording covers and original songs for the hit series but little did they know it was the start of something special.

The Reluctant Apostles dedicate their sound to the artists who wrote and performed the songs their youth. Expect some psychedelic sounds, some rock and roll, good-natured banter and, perhaps, even a very special guest or two.
