Steven Adler brought his band Adler’s Appetite to the Whisky A Go-Go, topping a full night of Rock N Roll Sunday.
The former Guns N’ Roses drummer Adler and his band Adler’s Appetite do it all for the fans. Adler has made himself a social life based on playing music and hanging out with the fans who adore him. Both sides of the relationship seem to get a lot out of the fan fest with some music lovers travelling from as far away as Europe to see Adler.
His band is comprised of strong musicians who bring it. Guns N’ Roses fans get their fill with a setlist that is comprised primarily of GNR tunes.
It was a full bill at The Whisky, with rockers Charlie Bonnett and The Folkin’ Gasholes, Wild Ride, ’79, Motorsickle and Venrez.
In 2017, Steven’s mother Deanna published a doozy of a book that gives perspective on raising the hell-raiser Adler. It’s a good read, called “Sweet Child of Mine: How I Lost My Son to Guns N’ Roses.” Of course, it’s a little different story than “My Appetite For Destruction,” written by Adler in 2011.
Some of the selections by Adler’s Appetite: “Reckless Life,” “Nightrain,” “Brownstone,” “Habit” from Back From The Dead 2012 and wrapping with “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Paradise City.”
Adler was in Guns N’ Roses from 1985-1990.
