Bowling for Soup is turning back the clock with a reimagined take on Sum 41’s 2000s touchstone “In Too Deep,” releasing the track and an accompanying video.

Born out of a genuine decades-long friendship between the two bands, the cover is a full-throttle trip back to an era that delighted music fans.

The release follows last month’s cover of Simple Plan’s “I’m Just a Kid,” continuing Bowling for Soup’s ongoing series of reimagined pop punk classics.

Fans can catch them live this summer when Bowling for Soup hits the road with Simple Plan for the Bigger Than You Think: The Sequel Tour.

“We met Sum 41 in 2000 when our bands toured with Catch 22,” said vocalist Jaret Reddick. “We instantly hit it off talking about Metal and drinking copious amounts of, well, everything.”
