New Album ‘Bring That Back’ Gets Sept. 5 Release Date

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – It’s “Hippie Chicks” and fond memories that drive Annapolis singer-songwriter Dirk Schwenk who has released a video to accompany the first track off his upcoming album “Bring That Back.”

The renowned local singer-songwriter takes a sentimental journey of sorts with his lovely wife, Stefanie, and a vintage yellow VW bus across the inlets and secret sections of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

“Free-spirited women are beautiful,” Dirk said. “The vibe is true in the song. I spent time on fingerpicking and the recording process transformed the song to a more Reggae-style vibe. I’m a fan of Jack Johnson so ‘Hippie Chicks’ was produced in that style.”

Dirk has put together some remarkable musicians to back him on this nostalgic 7-track Americana-style collection. If you like Jackson Browne, James Taylor and The Grateful Dead with a little banjo and fiddle brought into the mix, you’ll enjoy “Bring That Back.” Pre-order the album “Bring That Back” here.

Dirk is no newbie, he’s been playing music and performing since he was in high school. A Chesapeake Bay enthusiast, he incorporates his love of the outdoors and the simple things in life into his award-winning songwriting. The Annapolis musician is also a well-regarded lawyer in Maryland’s capital and fights for the rights of marine-lovers across the state.

Dirk will be performing at the Annapolis Songwriters Festival, which takes place Sept. 11-14 in Annapolis, Md., presented by Rams Head Presents.
