Kurt Cobain’s beloved home in Seattle is for sale with a listing price of $7.5 million, according to reports.
It’s a remarkable jump in price for the house that Courtney Love sold three years after Cobain’s death. Cobain and Courtney Love purchased the home in January of 1994 for $1.5 million and lived there until Cobain’s death in April 1994.
There was a subsequent owner of the home. Love sold the property in June of 1997 for $2.895 million.
As it’s the home where Cobain passed away and received immense amounts of press, typically the Realtor would have to disclose the information to any buyer.
According to property records researched by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the subsequent owners added a detached garage and retaining wall in 1999.
The home is 117 years old and is located in Seattle’s Denny Blaine neighborhood.
