The Rolling Stones will make their first Rose Bowl appearance in 25 years on Thursday. But if you’re heading out to see the show it’s a good idea to arrive in Pasadena by late afternoon to avoid traffic.

Commuters will be coming home from work at the same time thousands of fans will be heading out to the stadium.
It’s The Rolling Stones’ first appearance in Pasadena since the 1994 Voodoo Lounge Tour. Mick Jagger and the crew are arriving from Santa Clara where they packed Levi’s Stadium Sunday Night. Vista Kicks, the local band from Highland Park opened for the rockers up north, but it’s Icelandic band Kaleo who do the honors in the City of Roses.
Meanwhile, Vista Kicks will play the Teragram Ballroom tonight. Get tickets here.
On Thursday, The Rose Bowl will be abuzz with activity starting at 3:30 p.m., at which time the parking lot will open. KLOS will present a FanFest and tailgating is allowed. In addition, there will be cooling stations and plenty of merch to purchase before the thousands of other buyers arrive.
There is off-site parking and a shuttle that fans can catch in Old Town Pasadena.
Tips for the Rolling Stones Concert at The Rose Bowl:
Off-Site Parking and Park and Ride Shuttle: Shuttles will be located at Old Town Pasadena. There will be no rideshares allowed in the Arroyo Seco. But shuttle buses will be running on private roads directly in and out of the stadium prior to, during and after the concert.
Plan for extended bag check and security lines. The Rose Bowl Stadium has a Clear Bag Policy that requires 12 x 6 x 12 clear bags for entry otherwise the bag must be 4.25 x 6.25 (clutch size, with or without strap acceptable). Please plan to leave non-permitted bags at home otherwise you will need to check it in, for a fee of $10, at the two checked bag locations at Gate C and Gate N.
