Liam Gallagher has released the new video for his song “Shockwave.” It’s a retro 1960s radio song with an analog twang.
In the video, Gallagher is like a blend of Dave Davies’ sound blended with the pop Ringo Starr sensibility. The song is catchy and stays with the listener long after the needle comes off the vinyl.
Directed by the award-winning François Rousselet, the video sets Gallagher’s frontman appearance against bright hot cinematic-scale photography.
The viewer travels with Gallagher on a voyage through America’s Deep South, from desolate wastelands to train tracks and large-scale protests.
The video arrives as Gallagher confirms his second album Why Me? Why Not which will be released on Sept. 20 via Warner Records.
