Static and Surrender, the San Francisco band with the upbeat rock sound, will play the Hotel Cafe tonight, Tuesday, July 10, to celebrate the new self-titled debut album.

Static and Surrender are Jeff Campbell on lead vocals and guitar, Adam Schuman on guitar and vocals, John Schuman on drums, and Lauren Stockner on bass.
Static and Surrender’s first album will arrive July 13.
The group was recently signed to Funzalo Records and are touring throughout California to give fans a preview of their debut album.
A Chance Meeting for Static and Surrender
“I ran into Adam and his wife at a restaurant,” Campbell said. “We started talking about the static and stagnation we’d both been feeling about our careers, and how we’d both sort of surrendered to it. A day later, he sent me a bunch of demos. As soon as I heard them, it just felt right.”
Schuman added: “We had known each other just by way of playing music. There was a mutual admiration from afar.”
New Album and New Label
Producing the new album is Jim Greer (The Rondo Brothers, Foster the People). Soon after, Funzalo Records label head Mike Lembo flew to San Francisco to see them live and signed the band.
Static and Surrender Tour Dates
The band tours California with stops in San Luis Obispo, San Francisco, Concord and Fremont.
