Big Apple Loves ‘Zoolander’ for Fashion

New Yorkers buy in to Zoolander for the film’s fashion sense, as New York is where it happens in that uber-cool fashion scene. New York is one of the world’s four fashion capitals.

Zoolander a Wacky Tale in Fashion World

Zoolander, released in 2001, tells the story of the dim-witted model, Derek Zoolander, who rises to become an international model on the runway. It’s a rags to riches to rags story that melts the heart, and wild performances carry it through. Ferrell plays what the survey says is the favorite role, that of Mugatu, the evil fashion designer who wants to take over the world.

Ferrell celebrates his 51st birthday on July 16.

Farrell in ‘Stranger Than Fiction’ Popular in NW

In Washington and Oregon, which were among the first states to legalize recreational Marijuana, people opted for Stranger Than Fiction as their favorite. There are some interesting images and hallucination scenes.

Wedding Crashers features a political bigwig’s wedding set in Maryland —  home to many of DC’s socialites — so it seems appropriate that it’s MD’s favorite. (It’s also Virginia’s favorite, a state equally close to the Capitol’s political scene.) Ferrell cameos as a womanizing man-child, Chazz Reinhold.
