RZA, Mike Patton and Vic Mensa are among those slated to perform at David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles Oct. 13-14. Francis Ford Coppola will be on hand to present a special screening of the Robin Williams film, “Jack.”
Lynch brings together some of the most creative minds in entertainment each year. Past performers in the three years of the unique event have included Robert Plant, St. Vincent, Moby and The Kills.
This year, the music portion also includes DJ QBert, Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry, Earth’s Dylan Carlson, and a performance of the Twin Peaks suite by the Dover Quartet.
RZA and ‘Shaolin,’ Coppola and ‘Jack’
Anticipated film events include RZA’s staging his live score of the 1978 Kung Fu film “The 36th Chamber of Shaolin.”
Director Coppola will host a question and answer and screening of his beloved 1996 film, “Jack,” starring Williams as a boy who, with his family and friends, copes with an ailment that makes him grow old prematurely.
Grace Jones will make a special appearance and present her documentary, “Bloodlight and Bami.”
Lynch to Attend Festival of Disruption
Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra will also be on hand and for the second year in a row, Lynch will also be present.
