Louise Goffin has released her latest song, “Good Times Call,” a fun and upbeat tune that’s in keeping with her theme of being strong no matter the odds.
Goffin continues to be a mainstay in soft pop-Americana as she has cornered the market on lovely tones that present issues and feelings that are universal in nature. This is a great one, with beautiful lyrics, great music and nice background vocals. Goffin’s voice is at its best throughout this bouncy song that could make any time seem like a sunny Southern California day.

Louise Goffin: ‘Good Times Call’ a Woman’s View
“Good Times Call” is out in all digital outlets today on Goffin’s own Majority of One label, with an accompanying lyric video soon to follow.
“Good Times Call,” written with writer-producer Chris Seefried and singer-songwriter Ethan Burns, was written for Burns with the lyric from the point of view of a man. While in the studio last year recording with four-time Grammy-winning producer-engineer Dave Way, Goffin reclaimed the song for her voice with the gender switched, changing the perspective to that of an empowered woman bringing her love along for the ride.

“Whenever cars are involved in songs, it’s 98 percent chance the man driving,” says Goffin. “Makes a nice change to hear a woman say what ‘Baby, drive my car’ means.”
