Abi Carter of American Idol Releases ‘Peppermint Sky’
Pop artist Abi Carter has released “Peppermint Sky,” a song about the persevering through life’s challenges. The track is her first release since winning American Idol in May, and it introduces Abi’s sonic direction as an artist. “Peppermint Sky” expresses a battle between light and dark, blending powerful, dynamic, dramatic vocals and ethereal, cinematic pop.
“This song was written as I was envisioning all of the women I’ve looked up to in my life who have overcome obstacles and gone on to succeed in one way or another,” Carter said.
The vivid imagery in “Peppermint Sky” perfectly encapsulates this story, showing Abi’s remarkable songwriting talent alongside writer/producer duo Holden Miller and Michael Edwards.
