MANCHESTER, UK – Those ’90s riot grrrl rockers Sleater-Kinney emerged bold and confident at the UK’s Manchester Academy. There was really no doubt about it: They have come back full of vim and vigor, smiles all around, and a great stage presence in this sold-out show, which was packed to the rafters.

The band now features only two of the original members, Corin Tucker on vocals and guitar and Carrie Brownstein on guitar and vocals. Their drummer, Janet Weiss, left the band in 2019.

The Sleater-Kinney touring band features Toko Yasuda on keyboards, who has previously played with St Vincent, Angie Boylan, formerly in AYE NAKO on drums, and Katie Harkin, from their support band, Harkin.

Their 9th album The Center Won’t Hold was released in August 2019 and was produced by St Vincent. The album received rave reviews and they’ve been welcomed back with arms open wide to the live arena, which is evident in their sold-out shows up and down the country.
