Violent Femmes, A Flock of Seagulls and Wang Chung head a list of beloved musicians for “80s Weekend #9” at the Microsoft Theater on February 15 in Los Angeles.
The love for the 1980s continues on, as the ninth edition of 80s Weekend features a range of beloved bands also including The Romantics, Big Country, Missing Persons, Heaven 17, Farrington + Mann Original Members of When in Rome UK, Dramarama, Josie Cotton and China Crisis.
The 1980s represented innovation in cross genre music. The music by the Violent Femmes was considered a new combination of Americana music and indie rock. One of the band’s most popular tunes is “Blister in the Sun.”
In addition to the roster of renowned 1980s performers at the LA Live venue, MC Hammer is expected to make a special appearance.
