The Motels, Sugarhill Gang and Doug E Fresh will headline NostalgiaCon 80’s Pop Culture Convention Sept. 28-29 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The Motels and ABC will play New Wave Night on Saturday, Sept. 28. On Sunday, Sept. 29,‘80s Mixed Tape Night, The Sugarhill Gang, Doug E Fresh, TKA, Dokken, and Monie Love will perform.
The Motels – Only The Lonely
The Motels’ 1980’s hit song “Suddenly Last Summer” is featured in the upcoming chapter of “American Horror Story 1984,” (premiering Sept. 18). Led by Martha Davis, one of the most famous faces of the 1980s, the band has been touring over the years, bringing their beloved hits like “Only the Lonely,” and “Suddenly Last Summer,” to fans everywhere. Davis will take part in a panel discussion on the music trends for women of the ’80’s. On Saturday night, The Motels will perform.
Sugarhill Gang is known for the super hit “Rapper’s Delight.”
