The Dollyrots have a busy December on the horizon and are wrapping a successful year that includes new music and lots of accolades.
The pop-punk husband and wife duo have ended the year with the release of their new holiday song “The Dollyrots Do Christmas,” check it out here:
Dollyrots’ ’12 Days of Dollyrots’
The Dollyrots are in the middle of their annual “12 Days of Dollyrots” giveaways and they encourage fans to check out social media to win Dollyrots items.
The duo kicks off a mini tour today in Florida with HR from Bad Brains and Human Rights.
This summer during a U.S. tour run and while on Van’s Warped Tour dates, the duo released a limited edition, half red-half blue, vinyl 7-inch single on Little Steven Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool Records.
On the release is a new original song, “Get Radical,” and the Dollyrots’ take on Rancid’s “Ruby Soho.” Go to the Dollyrots website to order the 7-inch, and digital is available on all platforms.
“Get Radical” is currently up for Coolest Song In The World 2018 at UndergroundGarage.com. Voting closes Dec. 23 fans can vote once a day.
The band’s 2017 album Whiplash Splash debuted on both Billboard’s Heatseekers chart at No. 13 and Billboard’s Independent Albums chart at No. 31. The band’s 2016 live album-DVD Family Vacation: Live in Los Angeles debuted at No. 15 on Billboard’s Heatseekers album chart and Barefoot and Pregnant garnered their first chart appearance, peaking at No. 7 on Billboard‘s Heatseekers.
Dollyrots on the Charts
Both chart appearances were preceded by highly successful crowdsourcing campaigns through PledgeMusic. This followed the group’s 2012’s self-titled LP, two albums on Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records, and a 2004 debut through the venerable Lookout!/Panic Button Records.
The Dollyrots are teaming with Bowling for Soup on a special musical collaboration would emerge. Jaret and Kelly’s duets album Sittin’ In A Tree was produced by Linus of Hollywood and will be out on Feb. 22, 2019.
