California singer-songwriter Remi Wolf has dropped a colorfully funky song and video for “Disco Man” off her upcoming EP I’m Allergic To Dogs!

Wolf uses her smooth vocals to express feelings about her new love, through a slow boil disco-style song, albeit the kind you’d hear at the very end of a night out on the town. Wolf’s new song is appealing, the video is clever, and the her performance is worthy of far more than the new “hug” emoji they just came out with in this era of social distance.

“Disco Man” was directed by Agusta Yr and features the “Remi clone army,” which also appears in her videos for “Woo!” and “Photo ID.”

Swathed in cheetah garb, a kerchief, and clogs, the cherubic Wolf truly proves ability can overcome a non-conformist appearance, even in hyper looks-conscious Los Angeles.

“I go to this dance party called Funky Soul on Saturdays and one time these guys were dressed as 70s porny cowboys and I created this story in my head about their lifestyle,” Wolf said. “This video was inspired by the music video for Prince’s ‘Raspberry Beret.’ The general vibe and energy of that video reminds me of my dance party so I tried to meld the two.”

“Disco Man” is one of the first tracks from I’m Allergic To Dogs!, and is a sneak peek / preview of Wolf’s second EP and first project release on Island Records.

Wolf’s debut EP You’re a Dog!, a prequel to her new EP that chronicles the roller coaster of emotions experienced with a deep first love, put the native California talent on the map.

Wolf also recently collaborated on the track, “Cheesin,” featuring Cautious Clay, Still Woozy, Sophie Meiers, Claud, Melanie Faye and HXNS.
