Dean Wareham and Cheval Sombre take a step back in time with the new video “The Bend in the River” by Marty Robbins.
“The Bend in the River” is a Robbins classic and an inspiration to Wareham, who teams with Sombre on the new album Dean Wareham Vs. Cheval Sombre (Double Feature Records). “The Bend in the River” is one of the selections on the album which is a tip of the hat to the country tunes of the 1950s that inspired so many musicians.
The music is performed by Wareham with Britta Phillips, Jason Quever, Anthony LaMarca and Cheval Sombre. The video was directed by Matthew Buzzell. Katie Ryan is the talent.
