Release – Peter Murphy and Boy George have teamed up for the single “Let The Flowers Grow,” a song about acceptance in the world today. The track is released via Metropolis.
“When I heard the mix, I was satiated in every way,” said Boy George. “I have always loved Pete’s voice and his writing on this adds a beautiful darkness. The production feels very epic, like Scott Walker.”
The song originated when Peter overheard music emanating from the cell phone of Youth (member of Killing Joke, producer for Siouxsie & the Banshees, Pink Floyd, etc.) … It was fragments of a song Boy George was working on.
“It caught my ear for its melodic beauty as well as a Roy Orbison-like voice that sang the song,” Murphy said.
Requesting to try his hand at finishing the song, Murphy worked on it for all of 20 minutes and presented his composition to Boy George.
