Linda Ramone’s annual tribute to her late husband also celebrates the 40th anniversary of “The Warriors,” a 1979 film classic, which will screen on the Fairbanks Lawn. Ramone is buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Rock stars and celebs attend the event each year. Last year’s event was highlighted with performances by Billie Joe Armstrong, Duff McKagan, Fred Armisen and Steve Jones. Even Morrissey made an appearance and was on hand to hang with Linda and friends.
In addition to all the glitz and glam, there will be a photo exhibition curated by Mr. Musichead featuring punk and rock and rock ‘n’ roll photos to be shown in the mausoleum. Fans will also get to see films by Vincent Gallo and archival footage of Johnny Ramone. DJ Howie Pyro will also be on hand to entertain.
