Welsh indie rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen have released the single “Longshot” along with sweeping video of the rocky seaside of Northern England.

“Longshot” is one of the most beautifully shot videos out there, capturing the rugged shoreline of the UK. The drone video tracks lead singer Van (Ryan Evan) McCann as he arrives at an outdoor rehearsal under an outdoor tent.

He joins the rest of his band who are performing before to no one. The haunting, single-take video was directed by Jim Canty, produced in black and white, and presented in letterbox format to preserve the film’s aspect ratio.

Jacknife Lee, known for work with U2 and The Killers, produces the music.

 First Music Since 2016

The band has not put out a record since 2016. Two of Catfish and the Bottlemen’s  popular songs are “Cocoon” and “Twice.”

Formed in Llandudno, North Wales, in 2007, Catfish and the Bottlemen is made up of McCann, bass player Benji Blakeway, drummer Robert Hall and guitarist Johnny Bond from Newcastle.
