A new series, Music is the Soul of Life, highlights the Joshua Tree Music Festival Spring 2021. The event is a pod-based, physically distant, limited-capacity outdoor series of performances starting April 23.

The series features Steve Poltz on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24; Diggin Dirt on Friday, May 21 and Saturday, May 22; Con Brio on Friday, May 28 and Saturday, May 29 and Las Cafeteras on Sunday, May 30.

The shows take place at Joshua Tree Lake RV and Campground, in Joshua Tree, California.

Poltz is an inspired troubadour with a keen-edged sense of humor, Diggin Dirt captivates in a funktastic manner, Con Brio is a deep electrifying soul and psych-rock groove band with a great following, and Las Cafeteras is a uniquely Angeleno mash-up of punk, hip-hop, beat music, Cumbia, and rock.

The new event is a first step on the journey back towards the Joshua Tree Music Festival as it has come to be known, said festival founder Barnett English.

“We are thrilled, honored, and grateful to be able to start bringing back live music safely and responsibly,” English said. “We don’t take this responsibility lightly and have guidelines and protocols in place in adherence to state and CDD guidelines. We are confident that these concerts can take place safely with everyone’s cooperation.”
