Megadeth Bassist and Co-Founder David Ellefson Holds Book Signing at Book Soup Hollywood on Aug. 3

By JOHN DALY

Megadeth bassist and co-founder David Ellefson and business partner Thom Hazaert will hold a book signing for “More Life With Deth,” at Book Soup in Hollywood Aug. 3.

In order to enter the signing line, those in attendance must purchase a copy of the new book and save the receipt to show upon entry.

The latest work is a follow-up to his 2013 memoir “My Life With Deth” and Ellefson picks up where he left off, tracking his mid-2000s departure from Megadeth, through his return in 2010. He offers an inside look inside one of the world’s most enduring heavy-metal bands.

The book was co-written with his business partner, Hazaert, a radio personality and music journalist. In the book the duo chronicle Megadeth’s “BIG 4” shows alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax. They also write about the release of the Grammy-winning Dystopia, the band’s highest-charting record in more than 25 years and the two-year world tour to support the record.

Ellefson also discusses the band’s roots in rural Minnesota, the history of EMP Label Group, Ellefson Coffee Co., and metal label, Combat Records.
