The concert was filmed as part of David Lynch’s first Festival of Disruption, which has evolved to become one of the city’s most anticipated cultural events. The show took place at the Ace Hotel Theater in October 2016, raising funds for The David Lynch Foundation.
Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters have been playing together since 2012 and the band creates rock, blues, folk and world music using exotic beats and African rhythms.
The band plays stripped down versions of Led Zeppelin classics, including “Black Dog” and “Whole Lotta Love” which earn thunderous applause from the packed theater audience. Also included are “Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You” and “Going to California”, alongside solo standouts “Turn It Up,” “The Enchanter/Rainbow,” and “Little Maggie.”
If you were not there — CaliforniaRocker.com was there — checking out the video is a great opportunity to experience an amazing night.
Proceeds from the sale of this DVD will benefit the David Lynch Foundation:
