The Damned hold a special place in the hearts of those who love punk – These guys are still dapper and they put on a show that keeps the audience spellbound. On April 21, 2016 the band did not disappoint as can be seen in this retrieved video.

Powered by the commanding presence of Dave Vanian, the band took over the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles and ripped through some favorite tunes for the packed house.

The guys honored Prince, covering “Manic Monday,” and performed some of the most well-known tunes including “Love Song,” “Ignite,” “Disco Man,” and our personal favorite – The Damned version of Love’s perfect song, “Alone Again Or.”

The Damned played for about an hour and a half and wrapped up with encore “Smash It Up.”

LA punk band The Generators opened for The Damned; they have a new album called Earn Your Stripes and they left a big impression on the crowd. We’ll be hearing more from this band.
