Australian band Pond has postponed its “Dangerous Summer” U.S. tour, including upcoming Southern California shows in Los Angeles at The Teragram Ballroom and Zebulon Cafe due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to the Teragram website.
A Twitter message from the band on Jan. 9 indicates the entire U.S. tour has been cancelled because of visa issues. Some shows have been rescheduled and others have not.
The Teragram and Zebulon shows, originally scheduled for Jan. 24 and Jan. 25, respectively, are now moved to May 21 at Teragram and May 22 at Zebulon.
While a show on Jan. 23 was scheduled for The Casbah in San Diego, no mention of cancellation or postponement has been made with The Casbah calendar showing Wolf Parade for that date.
While the band cites visa issues, but poor organization seems to be a factor in the tour cancellation.
The poster promoting its Dangerous Summer tour conflicts with what was scheduled. On the poster it shows San Francisco and Phoenix for Jan. 16 and Jan. 18, but Ticketfly shows the band was set to play High Watt in Nashville and Three Links in Dallas.
Pond will attempt the U.S. tour in May and expects to play NYC’s Governor’s Ball June 1-3. The band has a new album out.
