New Jersey-based indie pop act Young Rising Sons release their debut studio album Still Point In A Turning World. After a few years of darkness for the world as a whole and a decade in a fickle industry, Young Rising Sons opts to lean into the light, creating an upbeat and positive body of work.
The band has opened for the likes of The 1975 and Bleachers, and the time has finally come for own Young Rising Sons to release their own studio album. Still Point In A Turning World represents years of work navigating the music industry and trying to “make it” in an ever-more competitive field.
Young Rising Sons said the new album is shaped around being present in one’s life and calling.
“As an artist, it’s easy to find yourself chasing a certain sound,” the band said. “But with ’Still Point In A Turning World’ we mostly focused inward, shut out the rest of the world, and tried to let what naturally wanted to come out, come out.”
Young Rising Sons aspires to rise “from strength to strength.” In a period of time where everyone opts to be reminded of the negative and dismal aspects of the world, Young Rising Sons is choosing to do the opposite and shift perspectives by reminding both themselves and their listeners that above everything else, we are lucky to be here in this moment.
