The Growlers bring good memories and a classic pop song with their latest track and accompanying video for “Dream World.”

Brooks Nielsen and the band make it apparent we clearly took for granted the most normal of places we used to go including The Wiltern, Hotel Cafe and the beach.

Ok it’s far from normalcy that we’ve been enduring during the pandemic and Nielsen illustrates this perfectly with his dummy of a girlfriend, who he wheels around on a variety of dates to a bunch of places.

Who knew Nielsen can actually play tennis? Other than hitting his unambulatory date in the head, he doesn’t do too bad. Long Beach and PV are also featured in this hilarious short film.

The song renders an original and extremely catchy vibe and Nielsen uses his renowned charisma to capture the imagination of his fans. There is no substitute for the real world as the endearing and beautifully directed video indicates.

We’re all doing the best we can in this fake world, the band seems to say. And to be honest this re-creation of what our lives used to be like, looks pretty darn good.
