When DoLA has a party they do it right. More than 4,000 Angelinos RSVP’d to get into The Echoplex to celebrate the magazine’s birthday, an event that featured headliner DIIV and Sextile.
The bands bring out the best in shoegaze and punk-new wave sounds, with DIIV declaring its love for their new home in Los Angeles and disdain for longtime base of New York.

The first 500 people who got in to the party were treated to some new tunes by DIIV, which kept the crowd on — and off — its feet for the entire night.
Sextile gets better each time out, with Brady and Melissa bringing back a punk vibe intertwined with rythmic electronic beats. Sextile has a new release ‘3,’ which is comprised of two songs, “Paradox,” and “Spun.”
