Carla Bruni had a charmed audience at the Orpheum in downtown L.A.
Friends from rock and roll and modeling, as well as French music lovers made the trek in the cold to come see singer-songwriter Bruni. Bruni is known as a former Guess model whose career was in full swing in the late 1980s.
The Orpheum was a surprising venue choice for the wife of Nicolas Sarkozy, the former president of France, and who at one point was ranked 35th most powerful woman in the world. The house was 75 percent full but Bruni had a nice rapport with her devoted fans.
